In the middle of the war on the Coronavirus, Companies break down on car manufacturing.

All of the country's major car companies have started the exercise of putting a brake on production. The main aim is to protect employees of the Corona. The dealerships of most car companies have either been abandoned or their sales have declined sharply in recent times due to Corona, and inventory has risen. To order to address this situation, the country's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has indefinitely closed the plants at Gurugram and Manesar (both in Haryana). The company's R&D center at Rohtak will also be closed during this phase. Company management sent this information to the National Stock Exchange and BSE in writing.

Sanjeev Grover, Maruti Suzuki's vice-president and company director, said sanitization was planned at the Gurugram and Manesar plants to fend off coronavirus. Employees ' health is also being looked after by restricting their travel. As a next move, the company has agreed to discontinue production in accordance with government orders. Since these plans are opened, they will rely on government policies. The temporary employees engaged in the plans, as well as the employ of thousands of employees affiliated with the subsidiaries, have started to suffer as a result of the shutdown of production in the sector.

By 31 March, Honda Cars agreed to close its plants at Tapukara in Rajasthan and at Uttar Pradesh in Greater Noida. The company says its top leadership is constantly monitoring the situation and only after the situation is favorable does it agree to resume production. Mahindra & Mahindra, the country's leading car manufacturing company, has also said its production plants in Maharashtra will be temporarily closed. Fiat says their production facility will be shut down by the end of this month. On Sunday, MG Motor said it would close its production facility at Halol, Gujarat, until 25 March.

Hero Moto Corp and Gurugram-based Munjal Showa Limited have agreed to postpone production at their plant until 31 March. Such companies have appealed to all of their employees to take care and be aware of themselves and the safety of their families. Hero MotoCorp has also said that workers from several other locations, including the Innovation and Technology Center (CIT) located in Jaipur, can continue to operate from their homes, except for employees whose physical presence is not mandatory. Maruti Suzuki's nearly three thousand temporary employees had lost their jobs during the recession in November last year. The car industry generates jobs related to sales, operation, insurance, licensing, financing, drivers, petrol pumps, economic transport. Production shut down at automotive manufacturers would significantly impact employment.
