The government employees will receive medical treatment in railway hospitals

Indian Railways has taken yet another step to help fight the coronavirus. Railways have declared that they would open their hospitals to all government employees to reduce the increasing pressure on public hospitals. In railway hospitals, the treatment of its own employees is usually permitted.

"The Ministry of Railways has agreed in the event of a crisis triggered by covid-19 that all government employees will be able to get treatment in railway hospitals by providing their identification card," the statement released by Railways said. All their passenger services were already suspended by the railways until 14 April. Actually, train operation is allowed only to ensure the availability of essential goods.

Some of the railway's construction units often manufacture sanitizers, medical coats, and many other necessary medical appliances. Railways have also given their lands in many places to establish vegetable markets to aid in social distancing. Research is also underway to convert the train coach into a quarantine center. In addition, railway workers are supporting the government in coping with the disaster.
